Overview

The Universities and Boards Department Sindh controls educational, learning and development services and other forms of academic institutions and boards. It is also responsible for handling teachers/faculty members and the staff members in both public and private settings within the province of Sindh.

We focus in the window of ideas, innovation, research and work happening across higher educational institutions in sindh. Each week we bring a different topic into focus, sharing perspectives on the big conversations of the moment- and sparking new ones.

Our objectives are to provide the province of Sindh with quality education benchmarking the leading provincial education in the country and at par with the leading global educational institutions with emphasis on research and development. We strive to provide the province of Sindh equal educational opportunities, helping all social classes to contribute to the province and eventually the nation.

With a strong network throughout the province, administrative authority over the educational institutions in the province comprising 27 universities, 8 boards & 2 attached departments.  Universities and Boards Department Sindh is headquartered in its Karachi office along with several branches throughout the province.

Additionally, the department caters to the five boards for examinations and other administrative duties assigned to the department. Moreover, other autonomous institutions and centers also come under the supervision of the department.
